Privacy Policy
Effective date: [DATE]
This Privacy Policy explains how Felipe Salazar collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Morlah mobile application (“Morlah”, the “App”).
1. Summary of data we collect
- Identity: handled by Firebase Authentication via Google or Apple sign-in. We never see or store your password, and we do not store your email on our own servers.
- Quote choices: which quotes you keep and which you pass on. Sent to OpenAI to generate your insight and questions.
- Journal answers: stored privately in Cloud Firestore and never shared with anyone.
- Diagnostics: crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics.
2. Account and sign-in
You sign in with Google or Apple. Firebase Authentication handles your identity; we do not store your email address on our own servers, and we never see or store your password.
3. Your journal is private
Your journal answers never leave Cloud Firestore. They are not sent to OpenAI or any other AI provider, and not shared with any third party. They exist so you can read them.
What is sent to OpenAI: the quote choices you make while swiping (which quotes you chose and which you passed on). OpenAI processes these to generate your personalised insight and daily questions. We do not send your name or email to OpenAI along with this data.
4. Payments
Subscriptions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your payment card details.
5. Retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the App under settings. When you delete your account, your journal entries, swipe history, and profile are permanently deleted within 30 days. Crash diagnostics are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics' standard retention periods.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the LGPD, GDPR, and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@venciz.com or use the in-app deletion tools.
7. Children
Morlah is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Our processors (Google Firebase, OpenAI) may process data on servers outside your country. They provide safeguards for such transfers under their own terms and data-processing agreements.
9. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with the security controls of Google Cloud / Firebase. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect in the first place — the most sensitive thing you create in Morlah, your journal, never leaves its database.
10. Not a substitute for professional support
Morlah is a self-reflection tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health support, and its AI-generated insights are not medical or psychological advice.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and material changes will be flagged in the App. Questions: contact@venciz.com.
